About the speaker

Robert Massoud is from Toronto and founded Zatoun, Fair Trade Palestinian Olive Oil and Beit Zatoun, Toronto’s Palestinian Cultural Centre. Robert brings the reality of life in Palestine, turns it into hope in Canada and returns it as peace to Palestine. Zatoun uses universal symbols; food, fair trade, the grassroots and human interest to achieve this. Join us for the story from Robert Massoud: Zatoun’s story is the story of Palestine. Please visit the articles link (www.Zatoun.com/articles.htm) to see magazine items on Zatoun and an article published in Peace Magazine on olive farming in Palestine.

The essential message from Zatoun is that millions in North America want an end to occupation and to see a free, sovereign Palestine. People also want to make connections with each other over a world issue and to build bridges to Palestine. Palestine is a beacon of courage and hope to the Arab world and its role in helping to inspire the people’s revolutions taking place in the Middle East and the possible implications to the long struggle for Palestine’s freedom.

Zatoun Olive Oil will be available for tasting & purchase. Information and articles about Palestinian solidarity.

Free admission. For information: bbcf(at)bbcf(dot)ca
